FORUM, architectural magazine

FORUM, the "journal for architecture and related arts," has a rich and turbulent history. Its conceptual diversity (and thus its significance) is characteristic; it serves as a critical reflector for architecture, featuring travel and research reports, biographies and monographs, or even philosophical treatises; in which architects write about their work, but also about the work of others.
FORUM editorial teams have succeeded one another in the past, with, at most, a certain degree of consistency in subject within an editorial period. It is clear that FORUM has no commercial ties and has therefore never been “mainstream". The graphic design, with "Wendingen," the precursor to FORUM, as its starting point, is partly decisive in this.
