The projected development site for low-density housing is situated
in Zaozere, a small village along the river Sylva. The rural setting,
a typical karst landscape, is of outstanding natural beauty. A mountain
ridge on the opposite site of the river is visually dominating the
site.
The approach for the development of the assigned building area focusses
on the relationship living environment – topography / landscape, trying
not to disturb the perception of nature for the incidental passer-by.
All individual plots are arranged along the river embankment while
the public accessibility of the embankment is ensured. The linear
development can be done step by step, while the sizes of the succeeding
plots are flexible. A set of building rules provides a framework for
a reserved architectonic expression; small size building volumes are
blending into the surrounding. |
